FAQs

Q: Who can join? Are there any requirements?
Doulas must first join Blossom’s Provider Membership to participate in our referral program.

Blossom's doula referral program is open to birth doulas and postpartum (day and/or night) doulas. We welcome new and experienced doulas with diverse skills/backgrounds, serving clients across the Bay Area.

Certification is not a requirement, however, many families (especially first-time) often ask doulas about their certification or prefer someone certified. Families vary in regards to their personal preferences for certification or experience level.

Q: Where are the expecting families who use Blossom’s doula referral service located?
Families from all over the Bay Area may use Blossom’s Help Me Find a Doula referral service.

The majority of families who use our service are primarily based in the Peninsula, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and San Jose areas.

Q: How quickly do I need to respond to Blossom’s potential leads/inquiries/requests?
When Blossom staff contacts you to check availability, the sooner you reply or confirm, the better! Within 24-48 hours is ideal and greatly helps us so we can compile and send families their referral list ASAP.

When families reach out to you, please reply promptly as is the professional standard.
